The Washington State
Dairy Federation was formed in 1892 by dairy farmers concerned about the
legislature's activity. Today the federation continues to be a
voluntary membership organization representing over
450 state's dairy producers.
We remain the
legislative and regulatory monitoring arm for the dairy industry in the
state of Washington. Our responsibilities include maintaining
dialogue with the state regulatory agencies and working with
elected officials to promote the interests of dairy
producers in the state of Washington.

Mission
"To develop and promote initiatives
directed toward the financial strength, political support, and public
awareness of our industry to achieve a successful business climate for
dairy farmers in Washington State."

Services
The Federation
promotes the dairy industry through legislative action, public opinion,
and other related agriculture groups. The Federation also promotes
educational programs to aid farmers in keeping current with changing
environmental, labor, tax and other business issues.
The Federation holds five board meetings a year as well
as an Annual Meeting in conjunction with the
Washington State Dairy Women,
Washington Dairy Products Commission
and Washington State Dairy Council. The Federation also publishes a semi-monthly newsletter called
Milk Matters.
Milk Matters is designed to keep the industry updated on the most
current events and news.
